Porcelain Galaxy 22 & The Process Oct 23 Written By Andrea Claire This Porcelain Galaxy 22 shown in a sleek matte black finish. This stunning large-scale mobile chandelier will grace the foyer of a private New England residence, with interior design by Lisa Friedman: working with her was a pleasure and we’re excited to see pictures of the project. Our porcelain mobiles are not only functional lighting fixtures, but also stand-alone sculptural pieces. They embody the harmony between form and function, bringing timeless elegance to any space. Porcelain is one of our most popular materials, one we’ve worked with for over a decade. When I founded Andrea Claire Studio in 2011, I had the artist's mindset of doing everything myself. In exploring the material and process, I personally cast every single porcelain shade at Greenwich House Pottery, NYC. Later, I set up a casting area in my Williamsburg, Brooklyn studio for a few years. As demand grew, and became more than I could manage, I was lucky enough to partner with Nymphenburg Porzellan in Munich, Germany—masters of the material who follow a centuries-old traditions of casting porcelain, ensuring unmatched quality in every piece.
